So this file would be able to be imported into some additional steel detailing programs, such as Tekla. Now this time we're not going to export to AutoCAD. So I'm going to come back up to our pipes and beams panel on our ribbon menu and select the Export option. So what we're going to do is we're going to export these out to our desktop and look at the different formats that we can export. We're going to open Desktop, Exercise Files, 08_06. We can also export our steel to a steel detailing neutral format, or an SDNF file, for import into other steel detailing programs too. This file can then be imported into Advanced Steel, and all the intelligence from the Cubit PSPM will come across too. If you're using any additional steel detailing programs, such as Advanced Steel, you can export the Cubit steel beams to an SMLX file, which is a steel markup language.
